- About BC Parks
BC Parks celebrated its 100th birthday (BC Parks 100) in 2011. There were over 100 events across the province throughout 2011 to recognize our world-class parks and protected areas system. These events engaged as many of our 20 million visitors as possible and attracted new visitors too. BC Parks 100 events drew together rural and urban communities, First Nations, youth, artists, tourists, and individuals interested in natural and cultural heritage. The celebrations included contests, conservation projects, recreational opportunities, a conference and other events.
Being part of BC Parks’ centennial celebrations gave you access to our 20 million park visitors and an association with our current sponsors and partners:
In partnership with communities, BC Parks facilitated events and celebrations across the province. Please visit the BC Parks 100 website for more information about BC Parks 100 or view the calendar of events.
