iParks Youth Webcast Competition 2009

The competition is closed. Winners will be announced shortly - stay tuned!

Show off your creative and technical skills by producing a short video webcast that best addresses the following: The people of the world are coming to B.C. next year. What would you tell them about your favourite B.C. park?

The contest is open to British Columbia and Alberta residents ages 18 and under. The top 10 webcasts will be posted on the BC Parks website for public viewing. Winners will be chosen on September 25th and be notified by the end of September 2009.

Prizes include backpacks and hats from Arc’teryx, outdoor gear from Mountain Equipment Co-op, and a Day with a BC Park Ranger courtesy of BC Parks!! See our sponsors, below. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and for honourable mentions.

The contest starts June 1, 2009, and ends September 11, 2009, so enter now and start planning your project!

What you need to know

In order to enter the iParks Youth Webcast Competition you need to fill out a copy of the Official Contest Rules and the Contest Entry and Model Release Form for EACH identifiable person in your webcast and send those along with your webcast to BC Parks.
