Wilderness,
backcountry or walk-in camping is allowed year round,
but no facilities are provided. Parking is located
within 100 metres from the beach. There is room
for 10 to 12 tents on the beach. Please respect
Private Property. The Sand Cliffs are very fragile
and present the type of avalanche situations where
people could be buried. We ask that you not climb
the cliffs.

While
campfires are allowed and campfire rings are provided
at each campsite, we encourage visitors to conserve
wood and protect the environment by minimizing the
use of fire and using campstoves instead. Please,
plan to bring your own wood for campfires. Limited
burning hours or campfire bans may be implemented.
To preserve vegetation and ground cover, please
don't gather firewood from the area around your
campsite or elsewhere in the park (this is a ticketable
offence under the Park Act). Dead wood is an important
habitat element for many plants and animals and
it adds organic matter to the soil.

This
park does not have a playground. |

There
are no lifeguards on duty at provincial parks. Warm
water with a broad sandy beach. There is no roped-off
swimming area.

Kayak/canoe
camping is available. Care is needed paddling through
Welcome Passage due to the
high numbers of large vessels moving through
this small channel, it creates extremely large wakes.
The large
wakes combined with windy weather conditions
makes this section of water treacherous. There are
kayak
rentals available outside the park at Halfmoon
Bay. When
ocean kayaking; consult marine charts for tide
currents.

park does not have a boat launch. There are nearby
power boat rentals in Secret Cove.

fishing. Anyone fishing or angling in British Columbia
must have an appropriate licence. Licences
can be purchased in Secret Cove.

is not permitted.

horseback riding.

Pets/domestic
animals must be on a leash at all times and are not
allowed in beach areas or park buildings. You are responsible
for their behaviour and must dispose of their excrement.
Backcountry areas are not suitable for dogs or
other pets due to wildlife issues and the potential
for problems with bears.
