Ktisgaidz/MacDonald Bay Conservancy

  • This conservancy is located on the west side of Gil Island on Squally Channel. MacDonald Bay is a snug, sheltered anchorage on the west side of Gil Island, is ideally situated for small boats heading for the outer coast. It consists of a narrow river-like entrance channel that opens into two small bays. A stream in the bay also provides a good source of drinking water for boaters. The conservancy is in the asserted territories of the Gitga’at and Gitxaala First Nations.
