Carp Lake Provincial Park and
MacKinnon Esker Ecological Reserve
Management Planning

The Ministry of Environment, and the Nak’azdli and McLeod Lake Indian Bands are in the process of developing a management plan for Carp Lake Provincial Park and MacKinnon Esker Ecological Reserve.

Management Plan Schedule

Stage 1: Initial planning and Terms of Reference Approval (complete)

Stage 2: Development of the Draft Management Plans (complete)

Stage 3: Draft Management Plans Open for Public Review and Comment (current stage - Closed July 7, 2011)

There were three public open houses to discuss the draft management plans:

  • June 15th 3pm-6pm (Kwah Hall, Fort St. James)
  • June 20th 6pm-8pm (BC Parks’ Office, 4051 18th Ave, Prince George)
  • June 27th 6pm-8pm (Mackenzie Rec Centre, Mackenzie)

Stage 4: Development of the final approved management plans (current stage)
