On July 22, 2011, the Recycling Regulation was amended to change the effective date for expansion of the electronic and electrical product category from April 1, 2011 to October 1, 2011. Please see the following Order in Council for details on the regulatory amendment.
In May 2011, the Recycling Regulation was amended to add a new product category for Packaging and Printed Paper and make minor amendments. For detailed information refer to the Recycling Regulation.

The Recycling Regulation was amended to change the definition of producer so that it more clearly captures producers that import products for their own commercial use.
